From the Musical Director:
Happy Spring! As I selected music for this spring's concert, I was drawn to listen to longer works for women's choirs and instruments after the amazing success of our Holiday Concerts last year. I came across a larger work by Joan Szymko titled "It is Happiness," using the poetry of Mary Oliver. Mary Oliver describes her poetry as loving the world, capturing the human spirit and nature's complexity with wonder and awe. Joan's musical language is so touching, as she works with the poetry and the poet to really capture the essence of the poem and elevate it with the voices and instruments. I can't wait for you to hear it, along with several other pieces that celebrate spring, nature, and our interaction with the world around us.
We are eager to share our beautiful music with you and your friends at 4:00 pm on May 11th at Shepherd of the Sierra Church in Carson City or at 4:00 pm on May 12th at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Reno. We are always thrilled to share our music with you, and invite you to share our concert with someone you know who may need a breath of fresh air or a new tune for this season. Spread the word that live choral music is strong in Northern Nevada! And enjoy the magical marriage of music and poetry coming together to lighten our loads and clear our heads.

Tickets & Admission
In 2014, Bella Voce decided to forgo the sale of tickets and admission to our performances is usually free. We want our concerts to be readily available to everyone, regardless of cost. Of course, donations are cheerfully accepted and, in fact, are a very important part of the support that Bella Voce needs and enjoys from the community.
